Garden Centre

Almost all year round you can purchase plants from our garden centre, from hanging baskets, ferns, herbs, pansies and many more flowering pot plants.
Staff and pupils at RVTC undertake all the preparation for the hanging baskets as well as all the preparation for the other plants.
This includes planting seeds, taking cuttings, re-potting and many other task relating to the upkeep of the centre.
Volunteers come every weekday morning from about 7.30am onwards then stay for a couple of hours after school.
The centre is run by Mrs Tracey Moores (farm technician) and Mr Ged Murphy (science and agriculture teacher).
Pupils spend time in the centre learning about all aspects of horticulture as part of their agricultural lessons.
Visitors are welcome anytime during the day and here you can purchase various plants.
Looking to the future we are hoping to branch out, working from Houldsworth Mill at weekends, (watch this space).
Over the last 12 months we have expanded the garden centre to allow for training of our horticulture students.
Please check back for more updates.
